How does the content migration work?
Place your order
Once you have placed the order for your product and filled out the appropriate migration form, our technical staff will proceed with moving the FTP content and MySQL databases.
Full synchronization
When the movement of all the files on our platform is completed, we will proceed with the synchronization of the mailboxes (Imap Sync) in order to guarantee the continuity of both the mail and web service.
Zero downtime
With the content migration carried out in this way, you will have zero downtime and within a few hours your application will be active on our structure.
The five steps to follow to migrate your content
Fill in the purchase order, from your control panel or shop.shellrent.com, by entering your domain and clicking on "transfer". Do not enter the transfer code (authcode or authinfo) yet, you will do this later on the appropriate form.
Choose the service you want to associate with the domain, which can be a Linux or Windows web hosting, and the payment method (bank transfer, paypal, credit card).
Once you have received notification of the activation of the service, fill in the content migration form, selecting it based on the application with which you created your site.
Make sure you fill in all the spaces with the required information (you can request FTP and database accesses directly to the old provider, in case you don't already have them).
In the Notes / Authinfo field, enter the transfer code and, if you are also interested in mail transfer, return the email boxes with the respective passwords and the address of the old provider's mail server.
